Garland Square recently opened on the outskirts of London. A good place to look for this stuff is eBay, arcade forums or good ol’ craigslist.Crisis Zone is a spin-off of the popular Time Crisis arcade shooters. I bought a time Crisis 2 pcb and hopefully it should arrive next week, I’m going to test if the converter works with this games as well, even though it should. Not only that, but the risk of frying something if you’re a little inexperienced, but it’s all part of the learning process, I started this hobby almost a year ago and I did manage to kill a rare arcade board, yikes! I’m planning on finding another system and making the cables so I can be able to have a 2 player set up like the PlayStation 2 version. Add that all up and it becomes expensive. (the more popular the game is, the more expensive it will be)Time Crisis 3 shouldn’t be expensive, it’s the cheapest one to find, but also one of the hardest to set up right., but what does get expensive is the original Namco arcade gun (unless you don’t care about the recoil action, you can use a generic Happ light gun), all the necessary wiring ( finding the original from a cabinet or making your own with the appropriate connectors), the power supply ( one for the gun 24v and a 200w arcade power supply which is specific) a video converter, and the I/O board. As for arcade systems, one system can cost as little as $150 and all the way up to $500 depending on the game. #CRISIS ZONE ARCADE MACHINE PS2#But with those games, you can use a lcd screen or any screen as long as you have there specific I/O boards, the gun sensors and cameras to be able to play.Īs far as I know, the Guncon 1 doesn’t work on time crisis 3 but it works with earlier ps2 and ps1 light gun games. The Time Crisis (1-3) games, Carnevil, and Area 51 games should work fine using the method I’m using, but silent scope, Jurassic park, time crisis 4, vampire night, house of the dead, crisis zone, and some others use IR or CCD camera technology which is even more expensive and hard to find parts for. Some gun games work using led or IR emitters and a camera in the guns. :) P.S., light gun arcade pcbs are expensive, the most expensive being the guns and the I/O boards. #CRISIS ZONE ARCADE MACHINE FREE#If you want more info, feel free to message me here. MAME or console emulation (PCSX2 for example) and hack original arcade light guns and make them work on a lcd through usb. ![]() The easiest and cheapest way to play light gun games is through the console ports and play them using a Guncon 1/2 or if you want to play on lcds, look into emulation. Also take to consideration, what kind of game you want to play and the price of everything that is needed. What I’m using at the moment is a Namco RGB to NTSC S-Video converter, but I’m trying to find cheaper better alternatives mainly because this specific version of the converter I got is raising up in price. ![]() You’ll need some sort of RGBs to NTSC converter but that’s the more tricky part of making arcade hardware work on the converter of choice. Lcd screens won’t work due to how the light gun works. #CRISIS ZONE ARCADE MACHINE TV#Well, first of all, you’ll need a crt tv or projector tv. ![]()
